Privacy Policy.
This policy is a privacy-conscious launch draft. It intentionally avoids claiming unconfirmed advertising, biometric, KYC, wallet, or location features. It must be updated to match the final product, vendors, company details, and supported regions before release.
1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the operator of Rarely collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use the Rarely website, mobile application, and related services. The final operator identity and contact details will appear in the official Rarely app-store listing and in-app legal notice.
This policy applies to information handled by Rarely. Third-party websites, payment services, delivery companies, app stores, and other independent services have their own privacy practices.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- account details, such as name, email address, username, and age confirmation;
- profile preferences and collection activity;
- purchase, delivery, return, and support information;
- content you submit, including messages, feedback, and attachments; and
- information needed for optional features that you choose to use.
2.2 Information collected automatically
We may collect device type, operating system, app version, language, approximate region derived from network information, identifiers used for security, pages or screens viewed, feature interactions, timestamps, crash data, and diagnostic logs.
2.3 Information from service providers
We may receive transaction status from payment processors, delivery status from logistics providers, fraud and security signals, app-store subscription or installation information, and support records from tools that process information on our behalf.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- create and secure accounts and provide requested Services;
- process purchases, reveals, collection records, delivery, returns, and support;
- personalize settings and remember preferences;
- detect abuse, account takeover, payment fraud, and technical failures;
- measure reliability, fix bugs, and improve the product;
- send service messages and, where permitted, optional product updates;
- comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect users and Rarely; and
- create aggregated or de-identified analytics that do not reasonably identify you.
Depending on where you live, our legal basis may be performance of a contract, compliance with law, consent, or legitimate interests such as security and product improvement. You may withdraw consent where consent is the basis, without affecting earlier lawful processing.
4. Payments and verification
Payment card details are normally collected directly by an authorized payment processor and are not stored in full by Rarely. We may retain limited transaction records such as amount, currency, time, processor reference, and payment status.
If a feature legally requires identity, age, tax, or address verification, Rarely will explain what is required before collection and identify the verification provider. This launch policy does not assume that biometric or government-ID verification is currently enabled.
5. How we share information
We may share the minimum information needed with:
- hosting, analytics, crash reporting, communications, support, security, and storage providers;
- payment processors, app stores, authentication providers, and fraud-prevention services;
- fulfillment, authentication, grading, storage, insurance, and delivery partners when those features are used;
- professional advisers and authorities when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights and safety;
- a buyer, investor, or successor during a proposed or completed business transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards; and
- another party when you request or clearly consent to the sharing.
We do not sell personal information for money. If future advertising or data-sharing practices are treated as a “sale” or “sharing” under applicable law, the policy and opt-out controls will be updated before that practice begins.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
The website may use strictly necessary storage for security, preferences, and basic operation, plus limited analytics to understand aggregate usage. Where local law requires consent for non-essential technologies, a choice will be presented before they are used.
You can control browser storage through your browser settings, although blocking essential storage may prevent parts of the Services from working.
7. Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including account operation, transaction records, delivery, support, security, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Retention periods vary by information type and jurisdiction.
When information is no longer needed, it is deleted, anonymized, or isolated from routine use, unless law requires longer retention. Backups are removed through normal secure rotation schedules.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- access or receive a copy of personal information;
- correct inaccurate information;
- request deletion or restriction;
- object to certain processing or withdraw consent;
- request portable information in a commonly used format;
- opt out of optional marketing; and
- appeal a decision or complain to a privacy regulator.
Use the in-app privacy controls or verified support channel to submit a request. We may need to confirm your account and identity before responding. Rights may be limited where an exception applies, such as retaining transaction records required by law.
9. Children and age limits
Rarely is not directed to children. You must meet the age requirement in our Terms of Use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child who is not permitted to use the Services. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us through the verified support channel so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
10. Security and international processing
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed for the sensitivity of the information we handle. No service is completely secure, so you should use a strong device passcode, protect account access, and notify support of suspicious activity.
Rarely and its providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use recognized transfer safeguards and contractual protections. Final regional details will be added before launch in each supported market.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when our product, vendors, or legal obligations change. The date above shows the latest version. We will provide additional notice of material changes when required.
To ask a privacy question or exercise a privacy right, use the privacy or support channel shown in the Rarely app or official app-store listing. Do not send passwords, full card numbers, or identity documents through an unverified channel.
