Responsible Purchasing.
Rarely is for entertainment and collecting, not income or investment. Product controls and support processes must be verified against the final app before launch.
1. Our approach
The anticipation of a reveal should remain fun, affordable, and under your control. Rarely is intended for adults who choose to collect for enjoyment. We design information and support around three principles: clear choices, honest product information, and easy ways to pause.
Random outcomes can encourage repeat purchasing. Before buying, review the price, item pool, rarity information, and any limits. A rare outcome is never guaranteed, and previous results do not affect a future reveal unless the product page expressly explains a different mechanism.
2. Keep collecting in balance
Set a budget first
Decide what you can comfortably spend before opening the app. Treat that amount as an entertainment cost, not money you expect to recover. Never use funds needed for rent, food, bills, debt repayment, medical care, education, or savings goals.
Slow down the moment
Avoid chasing a specific rarity after a disappointing reveal. Step away between purchases, turn off optional marketing notifications, and avoid collecting when stressed, upset, tired, or under the influence.
Track the full amount
Review your purchase history regularly. Remember to include taxes, shipping, storage, grading, and other fees when considering total spending.
3. Signs it may be time to pause
Consider taking a break and seeking support if you:
- spend more time or money than you planned;
- hide purchases or borrow money to keep collecting;
- feel pressure to recover the value of earlier purchases;
- experience conflict, missed responsibilities, stress, or sleep loss;
- open packs mainly to change your mood; or
- feel unable to stop even when you want to.
These signs do not define you. They are a practical signal to pause, speak with someone you trust, and consider help from a qualified local support organization.
4. Cooling-off and account closure
You may ask Rarely support for a temporary purchasing pause, marketing opt-out, or account closure through the verified channel in the app or official app-store listing. Where a specific control is available in your region, the app will explain its duration and effect before you confirm it.
Before requesting closure or a long exclusion, follow the in-app instructions for any remaining balance, stored item, active shipment, pending return, or unresolved transaction. A pause does not change refund rules for completed purchases unless applicable law requires otherwise.
We may ask for limited verification to protect your account. We will not ask you to send passwords or complete payment card details.
5. Protecting younger people
Rarely is intended for adults who meet the age requirement in our Terms. Do not create an account for a minor, share an adult account with a minor, or allow a child to make purchases using your device or payment method.
Keep device authentication and purchase confirmation enabled. If you believe a minor has used Rarely, contact the verified support channel promptly so we can review the account and take appropriate action.
6. Support outside Rarely
Rarely support can help with account controls, but it is not a medical, financial, or crisis service. If spending or gaming behavior is causing harm, consider contacting a licensed professional or a recognized support organization in your country. In an emergency, contact local emergency services.
7. Continuous improvement
We will review customer feedback, product data, complaint trends, and regulatory guidance to improve responsible-use information and controls. Material changes to this policy will be dated above and communicated where required.
